“Clocker Town”
This is the town where I grew up. The synchronizing electric clock was developed here by Henry E. Warren. Coining the town’s school mascot “Ashland Clockers.” The official start of the Boston Marathon also originated here, currently beginning in the neighboring town of Hopkinton. The Ashland State Park, Town Forrest, and Warren Woods are just a few of the places you will want to explore. Ashland also offers local shops, restaurants and a farmer’s market. Located in between Boston and Worcester with access to the commuter rail and Interstates 1-90 and I-495.
